Presentation Skills
Charismalab’s One–Day Presentation Skills course addresses all the required elements that go into presenting effectively plus the ‘magic ingredient’ that will help you lift your presentations from good to great to excellent.
In other words…..Charisma!
If you present me with an idea, concept or some information and can prove that you are an expert in a certain field, then I will probably believe you.
However, whether I am influenced by what you say will depend on how much I care about what you have presented.
The difference between simply communicating information and communicating with appropriate energy and an emotional tone, is the key to whether I care enough to take action — being not just based on what you say but also on how you make me feel.
A presentation has several key elements:
- • Structure
- • Style
- • Content
- • Message
- • Delivery
A charismatic presentation has one extra element:
Energy in four dimensions
- • Physical (body language)
- • Emotional (how you feel and the way you make others feel)
- • Intellectual (how you think and what you know)
- • Motivational (your drives, values, beliefs and ideas)
We will work with you to help you design, develop and deliver an engaging and powerful presentation style. We can work with whatever tools you prefer to use — PowerPoint, flip charts, props and video clips or, perhaps, it may simply be you standing in a room.
Our work is based on rigorous research and our ‘in the field’ experience. Both Jo and Tom present regularly to many different audiences. They will share with you their understanding of what makes presenters and public speakers truly engaging.
